The consultation of plastic surgery

The first consultation is a unique experience during which mutual confidence, trust, respect and privacy will be developed between the patient and me. After a careful analysis of the patients needs, I will complete an assessment sheet, which will include photos, measurements and clinical examinations, which will allow you to clarify and ask questions of any concerns you may have. Following this assessment, I will describe the exact procedure which will be taken.

For breast enlargements, part of the clinical assessment will be to try prosthesis. The expected results and any complications which could arise will be clearly explained to the patient.

At the end of the first consultation, a complete file will be given to the patient and will contain :

• A fully comprehensive sheet of the procedure involved, supported by the French Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
• A full itemized costing of your needs.

In plastic surgery a second consultation, is required by French regulations. This second consultation, which is free in our office, is intended to make sure of the patient's motivation and commitment. This will also allow confirming the information delivered during the first consultation is clearly understood. Several consultations are sometimes necessary for the patient to refine its wishes. The medical team will be listening to the patient until its questions are all addressed.

A delay of fifteen days is necessary between first consultation and the surgical procedure. This will allow patients time to think about the procedures involved and any other concerns which may arise.

Within this trustful and personalized approach, your consultations, surgical procedures and follow up care are all performed by Mrs Christèle Vasseur.

Before coming to any consultations, please ensure you bring the following :

• Photos of your face in your twenties (for a facelift)
• A light bra (proscribe push-up bra) and thigh clothes (in case of breast augmentation surgery)
• Record of all questions that may come to your mind beforehand.

Feel free to come with a close relative or friend if you whish.
